Appears to be a 10 year limited warrantee. Seems to be 2 years on a semi though. Takes an e-mail or phone call to be sure. Worst of it will be shipping the thing to Ontario.
Nobody's warrantee is just 6 months though.
    You do this? https://www.mossberg.com/service/warranty-registration/

It's bad optics even if you aren't the original owner, I'd bring it up to them

I haven't registered the firearm with Mossberg.
I read the page and right at the top it states:
completion of this form is voluntary and does not affect validity of your warranty
Though I might do it anyway.

Though yeah, sending the firearm away to Ontario is going to be the worst part. Means I likely won't have my shotgun for at least 3 weeks. (I'm guessing it'd be week to get there, they have it for a week and then one more to send it back.) So I'm going to miss having it at the range night I have coming up. That sucks. The shotgun is my favourite way to end a range night.

Sounds like the real problem here is not enough shotguns.....

    Yeah.

Guess I need to look into buying another shotgun.

Well, I was kinda considering a Derya or Typhoon before. Maybe time to look into them again. Though the UTAS (UTS-15) Gen4 looks pretty cool too.

Were you able to dry fire it the first time that you put it back together?

It's easy enough to reassemble the trigger group into the receiver with the safety in the wrong position, but the gun won't fire.

I'm not certain, however, whether that stresses the safety or not.

Yeah, I tried dry firing twice (and was able to pull the action back completely both times to reset everything) with no issue.

if you getting a Derya... the mags are a pain to load.

also it doesn't like light loads. you have to break it in with heavy loads. I've run over 100 rounds through mine and it still doesn't cycle light loads properly.

Only one shotgun? I'm going to go curl up in a ball in my safe space. Someone come get me when the nightmare is over.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but apparently Grech sucks rocks. You don't want to send a gun to them. Call or email and see if you can just order the part or send in the broken part for an exchange.
