    Ontario's new license issuing platform

Purchased deer, bear and coyote licenses using the new web service.
Got a 3-page PDF with a summary page, wolf/coyote tag, bear tag.
No deer tag though. Holding on the phone as I type, just wondering if anyone knows what the deal is.
Will it be snail-mailed to me as in previous years, after Aug 1 antlerless draw? Or email?

<edit>Waiting a long time but finally got through... confirmed that it will be downloadable, but after the draw.

Yup. This new system was announced some time ago. I don't like it.

I bought my fishing licence recently...it's an 8.5X11" sheet of white computer paper. I asked how the hell people are supposed to have this with them when fishing...on water...on wet water...

Yeah, I know...put it in a plastic bag or some such thing. However, the point is the sheer brilliance of stupidity that is this new form the licence has taken.

you only need a pdf in your phone... at least for fishing and any game that does not require an actual tag.

Part of the fun of being on the water or in the bush is leaving my phone behind.

lol it's ridiculous. i put mine in a plastic bag and went on my way. the yellow tags were better because they fit in my wallet. i wish the idiots in charge could leave well enough alone

if you are that attached to the old tag, you can always get a photo printer and print it up wallet sized.

You are not suppose to shrink it because that throws off the scanning qr code square.
