    for $800 I'd buy something current, I liked the Mosin because mine was $179 couple years ago and I already have a TT33 and a couple SKS, some of the 7.62 east bloc toys

    Suspect you'll find the days of there being any "cheap" milsurps are long gone. Including FR8's. All of 'em have a very limited supply with a fairly high demand.

    Reproduction ones were $7-800 plus last I saw. P&S might still have some in stock.
