Freedom Ordnance FX-9, needs a break in period, but after that the gun is a great shooter and is reliable

Are you throwing/dropping the rifle into a barrel during your 3 gun match? If so I'd avoid a rifle that takes down or folds, need a rugged rifle to handle being dumped into a plastic barrel under time constraints.

Yes, that is exactly what happens. I place my 22 in there, refuse to throw it, but it still gets banged up. I'm leaning towards the Ruger for that reason. Plastic stock, and outside of the takedown option, a solid gun with no hinges. And, it appears to be one of the cheapest price wise so if it gets banged up a bit, I won't be too upset.

The JR carbine also can be set up to use S&W m&p mags, which is handy if you own an m&p 9. It can be ordered in this configuration or the mag well can be purchased separately and switched over on your own. It is also NR and kills gophers dead.

We usually put some cardboard in the bottom for a cushion. A bit better than the plastic barrel bottom.

That would have been great a month ago.... my son had an M&P 9, but he wasn't happy with it so sold it and bought a CZ Shadow. I've read good things, and bad things, about the JR carbine... which is just like EVERY other firearm. Some people love it, others hate it.

I had a 40S&W jr carbine with some issues, the company despite me being a second or third owner, shipped me everything to get it working right.
That was a few years ago, hopefully they're still that dedicated.

Liberty is not a thing for the great masses of men. It is the exclusive possession of a small and disreputable minority, like knowledge, courage and honor. It takes a special sort of man to understand and enjoy liberty and he is usually an outlaw in democratic societies. - H.L. Mencken
