    My favorite sign

    Ah i love this sign
Gives me warm cozy feelings, even in this bitter cold
Some friends of mine were wondering how to determine where it is permitted to hunt on public land so i snapped this pic to show them. Thought it might be useful to some people here too.
    This is Petersburg, ONT.

(I hope I uploaded the pic correctly)

I sure wish they'd put up some of those signs in Alberta.

Alberta does not have signs with guns on them, but they do have their own signage to say what is and isn't crown land in various locations.

I have never taken a picture but I have seen many in all shapes and sizes.

Sheesh den if there's not a no hunting or no trespassing sign it's good to go okay every body see the smiley face with the tongue out that means im just kidding. There is plenty of signs in AB not exactly like that. There was a few near the gopher shoot on quarters that ducks unlimited owns. Also southern AB has signed for private property, green mean go ahead, yellow is call the number on the sign first, and red.... Well try calling you never know.

    Cheers

I still have a lot to learn about exactly what means what, and where. Apparently, there's a map place here in downtown Edmonton where you can buy maps that show where the crown land is. I think I might take a trip down there tomorrow and get set up. The only thing worse than a no hunting sign is not knowing at all.

ive found the online maps nearly impossible to use. I was searching in ontario, i dont know if there is substantially less crown land out here, or if the parcels are too small to show up on that map, but it was virtually useless for me.
