Today's 338 reloading adventure, needed to build a pilot for the trimmer.

    20191204_165047.jpg

Got that done, trimmed everything, go to prime, only 40 primers left
Oh well, use them up, and start working up a load with 225gr Hornadys and Frank's.
A pound of IMR 4350 isn't going to last very long throwing 72 gr at a time!
That nickel brass sure does look pretty though.

I’ve never reloaded nickle brass, but I’m starting to acquire a stockpile. How does it resize? More or less the same as brass?

It's just brass with a nickel coating.
The stuff I trimmed down now has a brass coloured mouth.
I think it might be a touch harder; I grabbed a random case and sized it to make a dummy, it didn't need trimming or more importantly, chamfering.
Go to seat a bullet and the rough bits from the crimp peeled the jacket something fierce.
Pulled it, filed the big burr off, chamfered the mouth and seated the bullet again no problem.
Something I'm going to have to keep in mind with this batch of brass.

Nope, just writing the powder charge weight on each one.
I've done it since day one, seemed silly right up until a work-up of 30 rounds got dumped on the ground.
I was pretty happy I'd gone to the bother, as the last two droups were way iver pressure and got broken down instead of fired.

Not reloading anything, but I cleaned up my bench a little bit more and sorted most of my 223 brass.
Rem and Win brass top the amounts, if I don't count the bucket(not full) of fed and other assorted crimped primer brass.
Not really sure where the rem brass is from.

I have various handfuls of reloaded 223 ammo. And of factory stuff that just was all shot up whenever.
I basically need to take it all to the range and mag dump a bunch to get my brass back.

Cranked out 350 rounds of 223, on sunday. Will be changing the Dillon over to 9mm then to go to work on several ammo cans full of empty cases.

Just made up some 6X45R and 8X58rd for the old roller.
Just sprained my wrist and now have to stop for a week.

The 8X58rd needs to be annealed before fire forming. I'm getting sick and tired of playing with the torch and don't really like the results.

I'm going back to the old hot salt method of annealing. Dose any one else use hot salt instead of a torch?
