You can get a Lee press for very little dollars, but be warned, once you start down the reloading rabbit hole your presses and accessories will increase directly in opposite proportion to your funds.
I bought a Lee kit to start.
By the time I had loaded 100 rounds, the kit had paid for itself.
Then I bought a bit more stuff.
If I save any more money I'll be living out of a cardboard box.

I will start loading some 9mm after the 26th. My last day of work on the ferry, although the cows will keep me occupied in any unused hours I happen to have. I also have large boxes of 223 to get busy on.

I need to buy more ammo cases, these ended up in a plastic baggy with the label stuck on.
Actually sitting in a 38spl blazer ammo holder that is better than the lee block for holding 223 for reloading purposes.

    Lone-wolf,
Agreed. I've been using the plastic holders from Blazer .40S&W and the various .38/.357 ammo I'd bought. The .40S&W ammo holders are great because they have walls that can be easily written on. So for mine I have blocks marked with what they are. Like on one block it's marked "Good" which means everything is within acceptable parameters and has been verified as such so it can be taken to the range.
Another is marked "Primed" and it's for ones that, for whatever reason, got primed but nothing more. (I think I ran out of powder but not primers so I just primed the rest of them anyway.)

As for reloading, I've got all but one batch of the .223 brass I had ran through the deprimer and the pockets swaged out. All of the .357 magnum brass I have (about 300 cases) has been through the tumbler now and looks pretty good. I'd still like to have at least 750 more .357 magnum cases but it's not exactly been easy to acquire it. (Everyone seems to hang onto their .357 brass here.)

I load mainly 9mm, 44 rem mag, some .308 and just got started on .17 hornet. I started loading on a used RCBS partner press and loaded thousands of 9mm and many hundreds .44 mag. Now I have a Lee Loadmaster that works great and sure speeds up the production. I load the .308 and .17 hornet on the single stage still.
I have read lots of bad opinions about the loadmaster, so before I got it I watched many videos on how to tune them up and make them run well. It worked and I can load several hundred 9mm per hour without breaking a sweat. I don’t think it can be beat for a budget minded shooter.

What's it like loading the small 17hornet? What rifle are you using them in?

It’s not much different than .308, just smaller. I use a very light application of lube and so far I haven’t wrecked any cases. Knock on wood.
I have fairly small fingers and have only started loading some development loads to try out and haven’t shot them yet. So I am not the voice of experience on this.

I have a savage 25 walking varminter that I really only sighted in and plinked away about 100 shots last fall and now I need to christen it with a gopher hunt.

^^^ I should mention that it took some looking to find a lot of the tools required for loading the .17, such as the bullet comparator insert and the trimmer pilot and cutter as it’s one piece. Also the RCBS collet bullet puller for the inevitable mistake. You also need an insert for the powder funnel. I ended up ordering almost all the extras specific to .17 as none of the LGRs that I tried carried any. And I tried 2 at home and 2 in Edmonton.

I traded a cheap scope with a friend for some 223/308 brass, running batches through the tumbler this evening while catching up on deadliest catch.
Looks like ivi for the 308/762 stuff, looks crimped so that's a future problem, the 223 looks like it's 99% remington, not crimped, sweet.
Last batch of that going through, gotta clean up some 45 next and sort the 223 and 308.
