    I think the redmonton, nenshiville and holy undiesville (Sorry, couldn't help myself.) commie sweep could be wrong. lots of vote splitting on the left this time. you have 3 left of center parties running all getting lots of air time. This could give the UCP some urban seats.

    Yep. This one felt like a typical Alberta election of the good days long past (Klien era, etc)....and hopefully now returned.

    Edmonton maintained its socialist roots, as it has for a very long time. There's a couple ridings that might swing still as they are close and the big advanced voted "out of riding" vote might play a role. The immediate periphery swung largely blue as well with the exception of St. Albert. But it's definitely still the socialists anchor.

    Rest of the province is conservative blue, as it traditionally has been.
