C-71 is a done deal as it plays to the Liberals base , and the fall election is quickly approaching . If Trudeau gets re-elected , expect to see more gun control measures far greater than C-71 over the next 4 years . .

Have they voted on the report yet? Following the dates of the sittings talking about it the next one is Monday (guessing), with a third reading starting on the 9th? The article I read was the one senator talking to the media about "We had an agreement for May 9th!" It might be optimistic thinking of me, but I'd be surprised if third reading + vote actually occurred on the 9th.

Pratte is not a very experienced senator. He's counting his chickens a little early.

With some of the polititions tweets that I have seen and read. Like there is no place for a fully loaded automatic handgun sitting around the house. Really? These are the people making decisions for me. Wow!
