    Stocks - Wood or Synthetic?

I'm curious as to what people prefer and perhaps why. Me, I guess I'm a bit of an old school type - much prefer the wood. Anyone else?

1st choice Laminate...because I look Fuddticool with it hunting!
And then it depends....wood as you say is classier (much, much classier), but for a beater I'd go synthetic/stainless; it's too wet around here.
I guess that makes me option three

I prefer nicely figured wood. Modern synthetics are also fine - I'm partial to the fiberglass/composite types myself.

I put my vote in for synthetic, but I like both, just for different firearms! I love wood on milsurps, but on anything more modern I prefer the look/feel of synthetic. The only exception to that might be a nice O/U or SxS!

I voted wood, and prefer it in most scenarios. I love the look of nicely figured wood and the feel of wood but I hate when I scratch, ding or gouge it.

Something about wood and steel that looks so nice but for pratical "i.e. hunting" I prefer synthetic.

I voted, "as long as it works." I apreciate both on different levels. Love my full wood P14, and my synthetic stocked Savage Axis, equally. I have two Lee Enfields, one with an ATI stock, the other with sporterized wood, both of those make me smile also.
