    I think your scale is broken. My 3/8" AR500 I got from steel targets.ca is only 5lbs 3.7 oz. And I doubt lack of 2 ears will add 10lbs. And yes it is 3/8" thickens, and 8" round.

    Lol, it does feel like 16 lbs. I think you might've gotten gibbed on the steel. Why does your gong look so new, lol?

    If I can get another scale I will compare.

    Because I don't shoot rifle much. One range cannot shoot steel, and the pistol range has their own steel. Other I just got permission.

    This guy has good reviews on his targets, and alot of people recommend him.. Plus looking at other manufacture gongs. Its about 5-7lbs for a 8"

    3/8″ thick AR500 steel plate weighs approximately 15.31 pounds per square foot
