    SIG 1911

Had a chance to shoot a Sig 1911 45acp on sunday, I like it. When I got to the range I discovered I had left my 1911 mags sitting on the gun safe. RANT..i always forget something. Anyways had a great shoot with the Dan Wesson 38/357, then a young fellow offered me a go with his Sig 1911. He said if you like your Norinco you will love the SIG, damn that is a nice pistol. A little more kick than the 9mm i'm used to but very accurate. Quite a bit pricier than the Norc ...….. I have been lusting after a CZ Shadow which is in the same price range as the SIG, to many choices not enough time even though i'm sort of retired as rifles are my first love. Just bought a couple more long guns to try and still haven't got to the ones I picked up last year. Well I will spend more time with the Norc and decide later if I should upgrade. It was a good day at the range, everybody is more than happy to let you shoot their baby.

The firearms people let me shoot at the range, some are unforgettable. I had a norc 9mm 1911 as well once, love the 45 sr1911 I currently have.
The Sig would be nice... you definitely should get one
the wild still lingered in him and the wolf in him merely slept

I run a SIG STX and love it. I picked mine up used, so not quite as painful on the wallet. Very tight slide/frame fit, nice crisp trigger.

Just to make you jealous I have the Sig Scorpion 1911 AND the Shadow 2
    Love them both.

I've got same model and no failure with several hundred rounds. I bought it used from a buddy who rarely shot it so it's definitely under 1k total rounds.

The only thing I'm not crazy about is the external extractor. It hasn't failed yet but I don't have spares like I do for a regular 1911.
Thousands of rounds through both guns and the only time there is an issue is when they are DIRTY. Yes I am one of those guys thats shoots them until they fail to feed or eject and then cleans them.

The only regret I’d have in owning a SiG is that they cannot be displayed in the open.

    They have nice styling
