I don’t like the looks of the SP01 - I have a pathological dislike of rails and much prefer the looks of the classic 75.

The look of the used up targets endear it to me, however.

You'll love the CZ 97B or the TS..

No rails. But I agree no need for the Shadow to have rails.

I’ve thought of both, but I’ve never held one so don’t know how they balance with those large meaty frames.

I wasn’t terribly enamoured of the Shadow 2, though those slabby grips are possibly the real ergonomic issue I have with them, rather than with the mass. I like some palm swell, and CZ just went and glocked up their grip lol.

    (VZ makes nice replacements)

"...don't believe CZ has a direct presence in Canada..." Most manufacturers do not. They have a distributor. I believe it's Wolverine Supplies for CZ. Wolverine is the warrantee shop too.
"...Cabela's is just a retailer..." Yep. I think they have their own distribution system vs buying from a Canadian distributor. Being big helps. Mind you, if they get fed up with our stupid laws, they'll scamper back across the border and take Bass Pro with 'em. There are only 12 Cabela's and Bass Pro shops up here. Wouldn't phase 'em a bit to shut the doors here.
