    Ground zero Tony Bernardo

Two months ago we face the specter of a black rifle ban by order in council. Bill Blair's repeated hints he would do this accomplished only one thing - making him the greatest salesman of AR-15 rifles in Canadian history even as she uttered the words, there are some weapons, quite frankly, in my opinion, that are so dangerous that there really is no place in a safe and civil society for them, and I think they are measures we can take to make those guns just generally unacceptable and inaccessible.

Blair's emotionally-charged rhetoric is missing one important ingredient: Facts.the AR-15 has only been used in a single crime in Canadian history. 1, by organized crime Hitman attempting to murder one of their own. The box the job so badly they missed their target and his two bodyguards completely, hitting an innocent bystander. They stole the gun, adding it to their already long list of criminal offenses. This is the gun Bill Blair chooses to focus on. Why? Because the AR-15 is the poster - child for the gun control movement worldwide. So why did Minister Blair back away from all his all dash but announced gun ban by order in council? Because both he and his liberal party strategists know that they can turn the AR-15 into an election cash and vote cow. According to Bill Blair, these guns are so dangerous, they have no place in a safe and civil society yet they are not so dangerous he must immediately remove them from the hands of 100,000 Canadians.

These guns are either a problem or they're not. Since he refuses to do anything until after the election, the answer is obvious. They aren't. Bill Blair is across political opportunist importing gun control rhetoric from the United States and New Zealand.

    Why?

Because because that imported rhetoric has great emotional appeal to the liberal party voting base. And when rhetoric has a great emotional appeal, Bill Blair in the entire liberal party can count on that rhetoric to do two things,

Still the party's bank accounts with boatloads of cash and fill election ballot boxes with buckets of votes. what does this cross political opportunism mean for gun owners? A few things. First, the liberal party couldn't care less about public safety. They care about vote. Second, our guns are not safe. not so long as there is a sliver of a chance that liberal government can win this election. If the liberal party is re-elected this fall, even to a minority government, Bill Blair and his merry band of gun banners will prohibit and confiscate a wide swath of semi automatic firearms in Canada, starting with the gun they love to hate most, the AR-15.

But the AR-15 will not be alone. They will add dozens of guns to the banned list and then Force us taxpayers to pick up the tab. When it comes to compensating a lawful gun owners money is the deciding factor, just as it is for our faithful military veterans and programs with a proven track record of reducing violent crime. only when it comes to paying off convicted terrorist or buying pipelines the government has no intention of building is money a non-issue.

Third, between now and election 2019, gun owners have one job. We must work our butts off to ensure the liberal party is removed from power. if we fail, it's not only our guns that we will lose. We will also lose a critical part of o our culture and our heritage. we will forever forfeit our right to teach our children too many important lessons in the attendance sense of personal accountability and personal responsibility gun ownership provides.

Our primary method of defense is, to paraphrase the old saying, is a good offense. this is not an election where gun owners can sit on their hands and do nothing. If we do that, we can kiss our guns goodbye. Our most important duty this election is to vote. That duty is closely followed by several others. The world is run by those who show up, so it's our job to attend public meetings and make our views known.

Contact your local electoral district association EDA. If the membership of your EDA is like many, there isn't a single gun owner among them. we must educate them about the issues most important to gun owners. we must educate them about the many benefits of gun ownership, our heritage and our culture of safety. If you have never reach out to your local Eda, please do. ask if you can speak about the issue with firearms at an up coming board meeting. Asked if anyone in the board has a firearms license. If your local Eda he's like most, the answer is no. These local Eda boards are made up of people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. often they know little to nothing be on party talking points about the gun issue, and it's not top of mind for many candidates. That's because well most gun owners tend to vote conservative, most conservative voters are not gun owners. Of Canada's population of 37 million, just 5.5% or 2.2 million are gun owners. well gun owners make up a far greater ratio of conservative voters, we still only account for about 25% of their votes. Fully 75% of conservative voters aren't gun owners. It stands to reason about the same percentage of conservative candidates aren't passionate about the firearms issue. The MP or candidate in your writing must be knowledgeable on dozens of issues. If firearms aren't one of their personal interests, other concerns can easily crowded out of their minds. This is not to say that the candidate does not support our issues. It just means they are more likely to be uninformed regarding issues. Is our job, as gun owners who vote, to educate our potential Representatives so they know the reason why we're devoting our time, our talent and our treasure to ensure they get elected. this will cost us some of our precious time, some of our personal expertise, and even some of our hard-earned money. for your donation to do the most good, send it to your candidate through your local Eda. When you donate to the conservative party through your local Eda, 100% of your donation stays in your electoral district to support your candidate. When you donate to the party nationally, only 10% of your donation makes it back to your Eda. Donate locally, so every dollar gets the most bang for your buck. that being said, in the few months remaining before the election, the very best way you can help you or candidate is to help them identify voters who support the conservative party. this helps your candidate focus their limited resources where they matter most convincing voters to support them and then get those voters to the polls on election day. The easiest way to ensure your local candidate feels and affinity for gun owners is for you and all your gun-owning friends to help them get elected. accompany them when they go door-to-door to identify supporters. Between homes, ask them what's most important to them, and share why the firearm issue is so important to you. Give them a reason to trust you. When we have a political party at the indentify voters they can count on, we help ourselves elected government more likely to support our culture, our heritage and our way of life.

Election 2019 is critical for gun owners. If the liberal party manages to hold on to power, even with a minority government, they will drive railroad spikes into the coffin of gun ownership guaranteed. Here's how to stop them, vote in the advanced pause. Take your family and friends with you. Then focus your efforts on getting your gun owning friends and their families to vote. Offer to drive them to the polling station. Do whatever it takes to ensure they do the most important thing they can do this year to protect their right to own guns, vote. if we do all of these things, we can send Justin Trudeau, Bill Blair in the liberal party into the political Oblivion the so richly deserve. If we don't do everything within our power to stop the liberal party now, we have nobody to blame but ourselves when they come to take away our guns.

So much truth in what Bernardo is saying. About the future. About what we need to do. How many gun owners will listen? Sigh...

In other words, we can't let corrupt, immoral people win.

All 2 Million + gun owners need to vote CPC should be the main point. Maxime Bernier will take 4% from the conservatives it seems.
