As far as I'm concerned the Conservatives did not keep their word. I cannot support them and stay true to my principles. High River, CZ and SA rifles immediately come to mind. Ignoring that they did nothing that actually protected our rights and while they abolished the LGR they didn't get rid of it, they didn't make it illegal to maintain or keep copies of it.

So the answer to your question is yes. Thus my strong desire to find another solution that other gun owners are willing to explore. Though my optimism is certainly waning when I'm reminded of how fractured and closed minded this community is.

Regardless of gun issues, Canada as we know it can't survive another 4 years of Justin.

Every election that kind of comment is made about every side. Canada can't survive more of Harper, more of Trudeau, etc. That kind of thinking is fear mongering.

I strongly prefer that he loses his current occupation. There is way too much negativity in politics and it only seems to be getting worse.

No actually you could look at it as scheer's party could be a right split, that is, if you don't believe in mass migration, or cozying up to the u.n. etc.

You cannot trust the CPC to actually do what they say. Other than Harper, who only said he'd shut down the long gun registry, not one of the Conservative governments in the last 30 years has ever made owning firearms less onerous. Mulroney outright lied to shooters to get elected. Campbell made the laws worse and the FAC 500% more expensive.
The Green Party, that isn't an official Party in Parliament, is another socialist bunch.
"...guns in urban areas are not acceptable,”..." Thus creating first and second class citizens. Punishing the law abiding for the acts of criminal gangs, government has repeatedly failed to curtail.
"...Law-abiding citizens pursuing legal activities..." Like Olympic sport shooting?
"...a confidential buyback program..." Those have proven to be just stupid. Criminals get paid for toy firearms, etc.

While you're exploring your options figure out a way to keep your guns and sovereignty and cultural values cause if Trudeau gers in you're gonna lose it all

I agree that there are fundamental flaws with the green party. However, if we only support one party, only make our voices heard with one party, well, then we only have one voice. We're far easier to drown out and demonize that way.

The single biggest flaw in this community is closed mindedness. There is a stunning failure to network beyond our own community. Yet the community is too blinded by their own flaws to see that putting all our eggs in one basket isn't working.

Long term success can only be guaranteed through collaboration.
Being on a gun forum pushing the green party is like trying to sell meat to PETA. You might try try talking to them about their policies.

My first reaction is not to call them childish names but I do have a lot of names that I think would be well warranted.

Seriously they make it so easy with their party members. I've never seen as big a collection of hypocritical flakes in one party.
If we had to support one party it wouldn't be that one. If you vote green you're voting Liberal. Lizzy just wants a job.

It's simple math, if we flood the greens, they're a small enough party we can take control of them. They also don't carry the stigma of the PPC or the CPC.

I was really hopeful for the PPC but after having seen the way the candidate nomination was handled in my riding and some of the blatent hatred for immigrants, my wife is an immigrant, I can't support them.

The CPC and the Liberals can't be trusted. The NDP is not maluable. Libertarians are anarchists by their own admission at the meeting I went to.

So we can create our own party or take another one over.

I'm also willing to lose my rights to stay true to my principles. If more firearms owners stood up for their principles we'd be in much better shape.

Canada hasn't been the same since Poppa Trudeau screwed us over. Justin hasn't come close to doing the damage his father did.
And I think he's too stupid to finish us off.
