    SKS accessories

Hey everyone, looking for some input and info.

Anyone have any experience with the Wartak or Magwedge picatinny rail system? How is the fitment and quality? What optics do you have mounted to it?

Next question is I have the Tapco stock on my Russian SKS and I'm wondering if there is a recoil pad that I can install on the Tapco butt?

If anyone has and pictures and info they could share that'd be great. I really enjoy my SKS so far. Has anyone had to adjust the front sight? I'm finding I'm shooting a bit low at 40 yards so I turned the front sight in a full turn. Will have to try again and see if that brings it up a bit.

I have a Kodiak Defense top rail, very similar to the Magwedge, it's excellent, using a Bushnell Trophy XLT 3x9 works fine, Tapco sells a butt pad for that stock
there's a SKS pics thread here

I have the full length rail as well as the razor scout mount from Matador Arms. I like them both, but I've only mounted a bushnell red dot to them so I can't say how well a magnified optic would do.

I've had my rail for 4 years, hasn't moved at all, lifts up, drops back right on zero

To be fair, zero could shift a couple MOA on an SKS and you’d be hard pressed to tell the difference....

I like the Magwedge setup. Practically stole a couple when Wholesale Sports was closing up shop.

I’ve tried searching Tapco accessories on google and am not getting a whole lot. Where can you get the recoil pad for the Tapco stock?

it's called the T6 butt pad, pretty much any AR style pad should be workable if actually needed

I don’t think it was bankruptcy, that super group that owns Remington/Marlin/etc cut several less profitable divisions. Tapco and most of the Bushmaster lineup were on the losing end.
