Could we get some Native groups to be vocal about the bans?

Didn't the federal gov buy a bunch of valmet hunters for some native bands?
Can they come out and say a ban on semi auto centerfire rifles puts their families' safety, and their livelihood at risk?
Why does the rest of the country get first dibbs on half my income?

Probably not. This is a white mans problem. The natives could care less what the govt says.

Right, because the federal gov't has been so responsive to first nations complaints in the past?
I'm here because all the smart people keep getting banned on the other site.

Exactly in their view they’ll do what they want anyway

First Nations may be exempt from any new firearm laws anyway ; regardless , enforcement on the Reserves by any govt. agency is pretty limited .

Technically they're not exempt from the law, but rather the law is written with exceptions for them, or exemptions for all that as a paractical matter tend to apply to their situation.

Also, if municipalities are granted the right to declare their areas gun free (central storage out of the city), odds are good that first nation communities won't invoke such a thing, possibly for a couple of reasons.

And they need those 30 shot clips of solid points to to make them stay put.

And the press won’t run it anyways. Look at how many of the pro pipeline bands have made the news. Not many.

Have the Tides Foundation pay the band to take a political position, and you might get some traction...
