Tell Me About The JR Carbine

What's the deal with this thing? The price is reasonable, it's non-restricted, looks like it can take most AR accesories, comes in 9mm, .45ACP or .40SW, the only drawback is it won't take LAR15 mags and as such looks a little fugly with a pistol mag rammed in there. However, it has potential. What's the accuracy like out to 200 - 300 yards with 9mm ammo?

Reason I ask is that I'm still obsessed with the non-restricted black rifle thing, and i want to hunt coyote, bobcat and lynx with it. I could go .40SW, but I don't know much about that cartridge. I have a 9mm handgun, so a 9mm carbine would make sense to keep any future loading and bulk ammo purchases simple.

Your not going to get a 200-300 yard performance your hoping for out of any pistol caliber rounds from what i've been shown by the guys at the range.

Fair enough. The reading I've spent the last hour doing has basically told me 100 yards is max effectiveness for a pistol caliber. That unfortunately isn't going to be good enough. guess it's back to the drawing board and a .223 rifle.

FH have you given any though to the SU-16 by keltech?
Our range president has one and let me shoot it, very light weight and non restricted 223.
It would make a good 223 bush semi gun.

What was the quality of the Keltech? I have heard there are/were QC issues but haven't talked to anyone who owns/shoots one.

I have looked at it. It seems like it would take alot of work and money to get it looking how i want it too. Enough so that I would be just as well in buying a XCR and being done with it. Which is what I might just end up doing anyways.
