    There here!!!!!!

Most of what we watch on TV or big screen is predictive programming, they don't call it programming for know reason. Terminator movie came in in the 80's so the tech was not to far behind, if they are showing us this, it means DARPA is a good 30 years ahead. What we have at home for all purposes is 1800's tech.

You know that’s motion capture animation right?

It's something, because a robot would not have a negligent discharge like what happens at 0:27 because a robot would not activate any "servo/motor/actuator/muscles" as a jerk reaction like a human.

It’s motion capture. If you watch the vid to the very end they show the making of it.

Yes, these guys have made other videos parodying BOSTON Dynamics Robots, that are quite well done.

Here's how they made this one:

    And their first parody

Here's how they made a previous video

Here are some REAL Boston Dynamics robots... (God help us!)

Seriously, we need to start prepping for this $hit...

And here is the kind of testing being parodied in the earlier videos:

A test of SpotMini's ability to adjust to disturbances as it opens and walks through a door. A person (not shown) drives the robot up to the door, points the hand at the door handle, then gives the 'GO' command, both at the beginning of the video and again at 42 seconds. The robot proceeds autonomously from these points on, without help from a person. A camera in the hand finds the door handle, cameras on the body determine if the door is open or closed and navigate through the doorway. Software provides locomotion, balance and adjusts behavior when progress gets off track. The ability to tolerate and respond automatically to disturbances like these improves successful operation of the robot. (Note: This testing does not irritate or harm the robot.)

Baloney! Batteries and high tech electronics don't respond well to the application of high velocity metal.

Until the geeks come up with a several orders of magnitude more dense form of electrical energy storage, robots will never be a serious threat because they just do not have the power capacity to travel any serious distance from a charging station.

As a result of the movies, everyone is terrified of the thing that is least likely to be a threat. What is much more dangerous would be small drone swarms armed with little shaped charge explosives. Those could be made in the millions for little money and sent out to attack humans pretty much anywhere. They would be nearly impossible to defend against or hide from due to their numbers and small size. They also have no need to retain enough power to return to base and so could be air dropped into remote locations indiscriminately.
