    Hunting With Milsurps

    Post your milsurp hunting pics!

Here is a deer I shot in 2010. It was the coldest day of the year at the time, about -32. I had to drag this fellow through lots of bush to get him to a trail! I was by myself so no hero shot.

    The rifle is a No4 Mk1* Longbranch, dated 1944.

This sounds like a pretty cool concept. Wonder if a person could buy some 7.63x32 in a soft point? Love to go hunting with an SKS or an 858!

Nice gun and animal. I was hoping to take a deer with my dad's nagant last season but the rem 700s got them instead.

I hunted a qinalugaaq(beluga whale) 2 yrs ago ... I harpooned it first and then shot it with my 303 British. I have a M1 Garand I plan to use to get my next umingmak(muskox). I also have a buddy's mosin I'm hoping to buy and use it for tuktu(caribou).

Been taking deer for the last few years with my LongBranch No4 Mk1* .303. Get a few looks when people see me out in the bush with the full stock version but then they get nostalic and say they should break out their old .303

Funny, with all the newer rounds available, I prefer hunting with my No4 Mk1* Glad to hear others hunt with their "old warriors" too
