ATRS Modern hunter worth buying / producing now after the NEA102 release?

Well last night was a shock?!

I've heard the boasting and chest beating from both sides "on the other site" about the NEA102, and Honestly I didn't think it was going to happen.

So I started looking at the meh ATRS Modern Hunter, for double the price, and wasn't overly impressed.

I don't think I'm going to be one of the first to get the NEA102, I never had that much luck on a pre-order, so I'll know how it stands up.

But based on a rifle that is a modern sporting rifle design in 308 does the ATRS stand a chance with it's meh results?

I think people would rather buy 2 rifles then 1 overpriced one?

Cause I'm going to wait for the NEA102 over buying a ATRS now, what about you guys?

Modern Hunters have the better selection of calibers. But I foresee a lot of Modern Hunters popping up in the other site's classifieds now

Well if the NEA 102 pans out to be good quality (relative to the price) then it will likely have an affect on the pricing of other rifles. I doubt they will come down and match price, but they should lower some. Competition is good.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I never thought they were worth the money. People that have more money than brains often like to justify their purchases though.

Have you ever held or shot both of them?
Often with two products that appear identical, one that is twice the price is often more than twice as nice.
That $40 CH impact gun from Wal-mart is every bit as good as the $400 one from Snap-On, right?
A Camry and a Maybach are pretty much the same thing, right?
I'd hold off forming opinions about either until seeing comments about them from someone that doesn't have an axe to grind.
    Don't blame me, I didn't vote for that clown. Oct 20, '15

That $10k rolex submariner is better than a $200 seiko 5 right?

Ok, the rolex has a sapphire crystal, which is better, but it's $100 better.
    (I own a submariner and a seiko)

As often as not, higher prices do NOT automatically mean better quality. Many reviews of the MH attest to that.

Maybe not but the Canadian Tire one for $100 is just as good.

How much Quality Difference can there be in an AR. It all the Fan Boys that beat that topic to Death.

It's all the add ons and do-dads with Boutique names that add a $1000+ to a gun....and the Roll Mark.

We all know that A $1000 DPMS is just as good as a $2000 Colt. We will not be fooled into thinking the ATRS is worth double the NEA.
