I was just thinking this week about how much I miss my elcamino.
Don't miss the carb freezing up in this kind of weather though...
Why does the rest of the country get first dibbs on half my income?

My potential Harley replacement, the wifeís neck ainít tolerating hours on end in the wind anymore. I thought my C6 was half assed fast...... lol

I gave up a very nice Big Block 4 Speed Chevelle for this and only in fleeting moments do I regret it...
It was tractor slow compared to this rig.

I'm a mopar guy through and through, and currently have a 70 Dart Swinger, but I have owned many beautiful and fast Chevy trucks from 67 -72 1/2 tons to 80's big block step side 1/2 tons. But the most fun I have had driving was in my 77 ford capri, 6 cyl, 4 speed that was built to be abused. It experienced driving on 4 wheels, 2 wheels and flying through the air on no wheels. As hard as I tried I couldn't kill that car, and it became a challenge after a while. I eventually sold it all in one piece, much to my disappointment. I don't miss it, but I'm glad I owned it.

I agree with you, old muscle cars are nice touring cars, I recently saw a vid an old shelby gt500 against a new one. It wasn't even close a 5 second advantage for the new stang in 1/4 mile plus AC, heated seats, cruise control and list is endless that's why most old cars sit in garages and only come out once in awhile.

I miss my 67 Chevelle, most pics are on a roll of 110 film somewhere lol. Small block with a Powerglide, PS and PB. Having to change out a summer restrictor plate for a cold weather thermostat twice a year, no air conditioning, manual choke on the carb. Metal dash, no air bags.

Foot to the floor, shifting from Low to Drive at 50 mph? Priceless.
