As long as I can get a decent holster for it, I don't think it makes too much of a difference to me. As long as it's functional and I could use it to get into some competition I'm happy!

Smith and Wesson Model 29-2 6.5. For whatever reason that one has been elusive but I guess I been pretty picky.

I just pulled the trigger on a KS Arms two lug action and having them chamber one of their barrels to 6.5 SLR.

Well thats easy. I like the Gen 3 over the 4. Backstraps wasn't a selling point, and the texture was rougher, didn't notice a difference with the dual spring recoil spring. But did like it being a MOS, for RDS mounted on the slide. If you have no interest in mounting a red dot. Just go with the Gen 3. Be warned since its 5.3" barrel, you wouldn't be able to use it in Production div in IPSC. Have to shoot Standard Div.

    Any holster for a 17/22 will fit a 34.

A pistol in 380 cal. Accurate and cheap.

Tapped out after "get it while you can" buying this year, including first-time AR-15s for myself and my son. Bill sent me.

Potential short list for the future:

    Henry brass single shot .410
    Ruger M77 in .308, and .22LR
Ruger SR 1991 .45 ACP Commander "Night Watchman"
If God didn't want holsters to be leather, he wouldn't have made so many damn cows.
