We had one 45 years ago. I always cleaned it as everybody was scared of the blade.

Never had a Hobart but have had a few Berkels. Bought one Berkel for $40 at an auction and sold it for $1500 on kijiji to some fellow from Toronto. Bought a Berkel from NS for less than the shipping cost me.LOL They are great machines and work like they were new. The one Berkel I have with power can hold and do a whole side of bacon[and I mean a whole side as I do them myself]. Ebay may have any part you need.

Cool, mine had so many nooks and crannies that stuff would fall into. Like I said 35 minutes to disassemble.
Heard a guy that sharpened his with a diamond impregnated sharpening stone. 400 or 600 grit. Princess auto has 360 grit diamond stones.
Wow a slicer for home made bacon, win win.

if you're going to keep the slicer, a smoker is required, chicken , turkey, ham, brisket, bacon and PASTRAMI
