    Wind, mirage, high scope magnification, shooting skill etc all make a big big difference at extended ranges.

    I'm not saying you can't do it, only that it is more difficult than you think it will be.
    Ack,,, but I got the land to do it so,, just for some good weather shooting,,, seems 500 is getting to be an easy shot,,

    Best reason really and one of the benefits of living in Alberta ..... room to shoot as far as you can. I'm going for 1400 yds with a 308 this summer.

    we do a Canada Day shoot at my place in Saskatchewan,,, got a small grassy noel about 1200,,, haven't measured might be more,,, 500m.jpg
