The good news though is that the 2A does give them a pillar upon which to stage their fight. Granted, that's no assurance of victory with every fight, as we saw with the assault weapons ban there in the 90's. However it can ward off a similar attack on the constitution like we are seeing today, or be used to overturn prior mistakes (the assault weapons ban).

At least the AWB had a sunset clause. Lacking any evidence of efficacy, the ban was allowed to go away.

We should be so lucky as to have our restrictive laws similarly structured.

And when one law gets struck down, they all will if they have the same wording.

I've been watching Tim Pool quite a bit lately, but he pisses me off from time to time. Recently he said something to the effect of he reluctantly supports the 2nd Amendment as it is and speaks out against things that are unconstitutional, but then encourages leftists to change the amendment to suit their tastes...

Democrats swept to victory in Virginia last year after campaigning on stricter gun control laws. Weeks later, the backlash began.

The real problem is who is behind bloomberg in the shadows. Bloomberg is just doing what he is told.

I was watching a video the other night that had a rather entertaining bit on a recent letter from the West Virginia Governor to the 2A counties in Virginia, recommending them to secede to WV. Rather ironic since WV was formed by secession during the civil war period.

Anything that firmly sticks a big old pokey stick in the eye of the VA legislature is worth a thumbs-up.

West Virginia has invited every county and city in Virginia that wishes to do so to join them.

Virginia is voting on if, during the next presidential election,
    - instead of reflecting the views of their state's citizens
    - they will cast their electoral college votes based upon the popular vote
