.257 Bob in My Grubby Mitts......

So, Iím fairly stoked- The .450 Marlin TD will be here on the 24th and then I stumbled into a beautiful little KRSI......Now Da Wife may hurt me bad but you only go around once!

I think my old utility Ought Six could be paired with something a little more exotic, this the Old Grey Mare.

The choices, the 70 is already put aside but then the little #1 cropped up. The 70 is only because of the stock really....

The #1 would be more reasonable as I donít think Iíd put optics on it and the little sucker is a compact rig and a #1 was my first hunting rifle but the 70 would probably have more real life practically....

Ruger sure got it right with their International stock... I know where there’s a nice little 77 in 7-08 wearing one. Always keeping the ears open in case it ever goes up for sale.

It’s probably the best looking version of the #1 too, at least to my eyes.

** Oh it’s in 257 Bob to boot! That’s it. Buy the damn thing and let me live vicariously through your purchase...

Delivery coincided perfectly with our arrival to town...... Little stiff on the action, have to work it a bit. Torn on putting optics on it but have a lonely 2.5X8 Leupy downstairs. Even if I do, the first range trip will be with the irons and see what my tired old eyes say. Excuse the crap cell phone pics, I have to dig up that damn PowerShot around here.......

Couldnít help myself, I had the scope for over 2 years before breaking the cellophane. Have to see about a set of lower rings.... It is set way back but when you throw it up at 2.5X it is perfect with both eyes open.
