I like that, what kind of magazines does it take or did that come with the stock? Was that the Kodiak Defence rail?

    Kodiak Defense rail, Tapco magazine

magwedge rail is fundamentally same, Kodiak Defense was what was available the day I wanted one, it mounts very solid imo

both of mine have shot well since I got them, put this one in the KickLite so I could mount a scope without drilling the receiver and bodging a cheek rest and stock extension. use it for gong ringing and Tannerite engagement

it will likely shoot better than my capabilities, but at 200 meters I'm very happy, haven't shot at distance, don't know I would, I'll play with my Mosin for intermediate (for me) range

Same. Bought the last Magwedge at the nearest store.

Sighted my red dot for 25 meters and it seems to return to zero. Only thing I've noticed is that the middle section flexes if you press down on it.

Only KickLite I ever tried would string low left. It had a noticeable clatter in the telescoping section.
The aftermarket stock I like is the Archangel Opfor (with the stupid AK hump carved off).
If you're over 40, forget red dots. Go with the Tech Sight TS200 rear peep.

My thoughts on a near perfect SKS would be...

    Archangel AASKS OPFOR Stock
Magwedge Rear Toprail with cutout for optional stripper clip use (generation 3.0)
Spectre AK style push forward lever magazine release used in combination with 5/20 Tapco magazines
or.. in lieu of the Spectre release use the matching ProMag Archangel LVX Magazines with the integrated lever release built right into the magazine itself.

The near perfect is due to the fact that you still would not have a bolt charging handle on the left side of the bolt carrier. If it was on the left it would be perfect.
