Agree, O'Toole also commented on his reason and an explanation, same with Lewis, I appreciate that. One can at least have a discussion if you know the other person stands.

MacKay is only showing that he's a politician through and through. He will also rather ignore something then deal with it, not something I like to see from someone in a leadership role.

MacKay is the rump of the old PC party that was historically no friend of gun owners (Kim Campbells bill c17).
The PCs were essentially the same as the Liberals of the day.

In regards to the NFA there doesn’t seem to be many SC fans even among current members.
Of the roughly 2 dozen long term members I know I’d say 5 or 6 were fully on board with SC.
The newbies are probably SC supporters or they wouldn’t have joined.
Not the same NFA that Dave Tomlinson started way back when.
I think Blair Hagen is the only one of the “founding fathers” left.
Ray Laycock has been dead for years.

Why would the answers depend on who is asking the questions?
MacKay won’t give us his position on guns because he knows we won’t like it.
His silence on the subject is deafeningly loud.

Stuff like sueing the CCFR? That’s helpful.

I hear quite a bit from the CCFR that may or may not end up being helpful.
The only thing I have heard from the NFA is, “we need more of your money”. (Which I politely respond to, usually something to the effect of ‘never again’. This has been ongoing since they first threatened the lawsuit).
