Need some help identifying the manufacturer of my No 4 Mk 1

    Hey guys,

I have a bit of a puzzle here, I've checked all the sites on markings I can find, but I'm unable to determine who manufactured this. Any help would be appreciated.

Nothing on the wrist on the bolt handle side?

‘B’ was used as an identifier on some BSA ‘Shirley’ parts.

But M47C was the factory code.

Letter prefix with a four digit serial number also indicates BSA. (If I read that correctly, little bit faint)

These are great BTW. I need to complete the set, I’ve got the No.4, the Martini Henry and the Enfield/Snider rifles. Just rediscovered them on the book shelf on the weekend. Might not have been that much help otherwise, lol.

Nice! I just got a Long Branch No 4. Just waiting on Canada Post. It's going to need a complete refinishing tho.
