Speaking from first hand experience, most really cheap .22 are garbage; however there are a few exceptions. You spoke of the JW 15; I owned one (or rather 3); first two went back, the third one was the charm. The other is the Scorpio EM332. My understanding is that they are a clone of an old Anschutz design, and some have stated that they are built on old Anschutz tooling. The one I had was accurate, but tight right out of the box. I took a few of the sharp edges off of it, cleaned and lubed it; that was it. These guns have medium heavy, hammer forged barrels. The stock does look a little strange, but is very comfortable. The action was a bit lose in the stock, so I bedded it with JB plastic and never looked back. Because of my rifle, a lot of others bought them, and are still shooting them. Spare mags are cheap too. Why don't I have mine anymore? I got bitten by the CZ bug. I have two .22s and a 17. Do the shoot any better than the Scorpio? All I can say is I won as many matches with the Scorpio as I have the CZ (and I do very well BTW).

The finish is a deep lusterous blue, and the trigger is decent right out of the box. On another site, there are a bunch of guys who bought these and are tuning and customizing them. You can't go wrong, and most places these are $189.00 Best .22 for the money today! Period!

Is that really an AI stock or some kind of lookalike knockoff? Cause that would be an awful lot of money for a 22 rimfire.

I don’t see that one on the Crikett website anymore. It came from the factory like that, fairly inexpensive.

I got a slightly different one for my daughter. We might finally try it out after her 6th birthday.

This what I bought for my oldest daughter for her 7th or 8th? She has her RPAL but is too cheap to buy a cabinet for her condo. I think I have her fiancé lined up but we shall see. I pay for their courses and give firearms but legal, safe storage is where I draw the line and make them step up..... ;-) Weird lines in the sand but it is where I draw em..... Stupid accurate for a little garden gun.
