The P-64 70 was and is an exceptional rifle and it's reputation is well earned.

I bought my first, an unfired Alaskan-.338WM, in January, 1968, aged 21, from a retired dealer and still have it. I have owned 43 of them, sold most in recent years and have a few left.

I have two Classics, as they come from the factory, an inferior action to the original version which I do prefer and I like these in stainless for custom projects such as BC hunting rifles.

Those such as Chuck Hawks, who tend to criticize the old action are full of bullshit and should stick to knitting doilies.
