if I was wanting a MP40 clone I'd get an Umarex Legend, same look but full auto 60 round magazine in .177 @ 400fps on sale at Cabelas for $250 complete with sling

I have an airsoft MP40 hanging on my wall. But its not the real thing and I wanted a real one. OK the one I got is not strictly "real" but it is at least a 9mm subgun that has actual recoil.

to me, that's just a very large 5 shot pistol I could only shoot inside a small building, kinda sucks the fun out. But that's me, I only belong to an indoor range so I can winter practice w/my pistols and try out stuff with my 22s

Its a historically significant SMG and it goes nicely with my Sten and Grease Gun.

My grandfather brought home an MP40 from the war in his kit bag. He gave it to a museum because "those stupid things are just a waste of ammo". He never liked his tommy gun. I wish he had just pushed it to the back of the closet.

I have shot a real FA MP40 years ago. They were a very good SMG, very controllable.
