    am I missing something?
Like I mentioned, no paperwork with these dies and I know SFA about reloading. I will play with what I have and see if one is a flare thingy.

The flare die has an aluminum top with a big hole through the middle of it.
If you anscrew that, there is a plug in there, and the plug is casemouth sized, and then it has a flare out to a slightly larger diameter.
You want the case mouth to just go up that flare a little bit, just enough to get the base of the bullet to sit flat.
If adjusted improperly, it can flare a casemouth out enough to look like a trumpet, amusing but not what we're after.

It would appear that the flare die is missing. Looks like there is the decapping/sizing die, bullet seating die and the fancy carbide factory crimp die. Time to go shopping.

The barrel of the pistol I'm loading for works well for me for the plunk test.
