Side note: I was surprised to find that Jason Kenney, Alberta's new Premiere was invited to Bilderberg in 2014.
Huh. I found that kind of odd considering Bilderberg meetings are by invitation only. Why would Kenny be invited 5 years ago? Thinking face

The role of the Court (Judicial Branch) is to stand between government and citizen. Independent from either.
The Charter aside, there have been tremendous judicial developments in the area of public law which have placed a strong reliance on the historical and constitutional role of the judiciary in protecting citizens from governmental encroachments and ensuring that public authorities exercise their powers in adherence to the rule of law.
