I have used this and it was OK. Found the Hirtenberger was better but that is firearm dependent.
The Hirtenberger was reloadable.
I am not a fan of steel cased ammo in Garands but I think that there may be one around here that could be fed that stuff.
GET OFF MY LAWN!
There are two types of Hirt in Canada. One is boxer primed and reloadable and the other is Berdan primed and not easily reloaded. The Hirtenberger was reloadable.
My Hirtenberger is the Berdan primed, non-reloadable stuff. Surprisingly, the Norc 308 ran better than the Hirt in my 308 M1 Garand. The Hirt would give me periodic short strokes on the first/second shot of a new clip, while the Norc ran fine the whole time.
The Norc also gave me a 1" group at 100 when shot out of a Savage 12FV. Primers are hard though, which was fine for the M1 but some needed 2 strikes to go off with the Savage.
