converted to another form (e.g., a handcrafted item, such as a piece of art)

    And a mount?

At this point, I would need them to spell out 'a taxidermy mount is illegal to sell' in the regulations for me to think it's illegal.
Also "buying or selling a hide or antlers"

I don't know how much time you've spent in Ontario, but people here absolutely love rules. COs are the cream of the crop for petty, nitpicky rules people. A lot of them are nice people when they don't think they're going to catch someone on some finer point of regulation.

My buddy and I bought a 338 WM as a novelty gun.
We wanted to see if it would take down a deer.

Opening day, nothing is moving, so I start reading my book.
About a page and a half in, I get that feeling.
Sure enough, there's a buck about 3 feet from walking into the bush.
He turns around, walks about 20 feet, and stops.
Broadside, spine shot just above the shoulder.

It was like a cartoon, his body stayed where it was but his legs went out to the side away from me.
Then he fell, and hit so hard he bounced.

My neighbour was helping me butcher him and found the jacket and a chunk of lead, probably 30gr? in the offside shoulder.
I was really expecting that bullet to be tough and just pencil right through.
Guess not, it seemed to work really nicely.
Funny, for a cheap gun, I sure like firing it, and wouldn't mind using it more.
Too bad you always need ears on, that muzzle brake is maybe the loudest thing that mankind has ever fabricated.
    Don't blame me, I didn't vote for that clown. Oct 20, '15

I have acquired several new deer rifles and one elephant and a t-rex rifle also in the last year and I hurt my hip at work in August and can not really walk in the woods especially dragging a deer so my doe tag went unused. Maybe next year am retired by then also. Really wanted to shoot a couple of these new guns.
