    Hasn't been 4-5 c per rd for over 10 yrs. You probably bought that a long time ago.

    paid $0.06/rnd for 525 boxes of Golden Bullets in 2919 at Peavey Mart, Cabela's had a sale couple years back on the buckets for $79 reg $129 (went up this year to $139) dirty stuff but it runs in my pistol and I was tired of paying for minimags to use as range litter, it won't run Federal 525 bulk, Odd tho, my Rem 597 won't run it at all. I got a bolt and a lever that run anything so I'm happy with anything bulk

    Last Spring when 'C' began and businesses were 'restricted' my LGS was only taking on-line prepaid orders with pick up at the door - no customers inside! He had lots of his ammo around 'cost' to get cash flow. I got CCI-SV and Fed Champion 40gSV for ca. $2.50/bx and Rem Golden for $7/100. I got over 10K total of them (last of his CCISV and FedChSV) and a few boxes of Fed AutoMatch for $20/bx. I'm down to ca. 13K after a Summer of shooting and looking for more deals but he only has a few brands of 22LR now, no re-supply yet.
    Bass Pro here is getting 'some' new 22LR stock - CCI-MM SV for $11.99, some Wildcat and AE too. No real 'deals' so far. Their AE .223 in 150 rnd boxes is $80 + tx, which is UP ca. $15 from last Spring!! And very little variety in other cals.

    I found 1500 rds of 22 in my crawl space this week.

    I feel like I won the lottery.

    I don't think I've ever seen 4c /rd. That's unbelievable!

    You got a deal fer sure. {High fives}

    My experience is probably more typical.
    I like to support local business, so rarely leave the LGS empty handed, even if it's only a box of this or that.
    I look at the prices and tell myself I am dollar cost averaging.
    For bricks of .22 they are right around the mail order price, so why bother -
    I have a pile of Remington that cost me 4 cents 10 yrs ago, when the price difference between that and Mini Mags was roughly 4 cents. Now the differences seem smaller, so why not go for the good stuff.
    Actually last week I picked up a brick of Mini-Mags for 12 cents/round, shocking compared to only a couple of years ago, it's true, but the real eyebrow-raiser was the price of Win Super-X... half a cent more. Which indicates the relative volumes of each that they move.
