    Well you don’t see that everyday.

    I always wondered where they came up with that stock shape, and whether or not it would handle well. Seemed to be popular in some areas.

    they weren't meant to be shouldered. It was more under the arm pit or even from the hip.

    Definitely a real cool gun you have there Dock Holiday. Have you ever shot it? I am guessing it is a shotgun but I am not sure?

    This gun was part of my parents estate and they were antique hunters. I don't know where they purchased it and they have never fired it. I have no idea as too whether it is a shotgun be I would presume so. I believe the inlay was done after the purchase, likely in India as we could find no other Twigg guns with inlay and it is common on mid-eastern guns. My guess would be the gun was owned by an officer or maybe a captain on an East India merchantman.

    I would suggest that the gun was made in India using a lock from a Twigg made East India Company musket.
