I came across this "restoration" video on Youtube. While there are many such videos out there, the restoration techniques shown in most of them... are absolutely atrocious. However this video actually produced a rifle capable of being shot, so this might help some guys out there, the next time they find a rifle hidden in a wall (a daily occurrence over here)...
His approach to refinishing the stock will likely be of interest to more than a few people around here.
He even manages to "restore" some vintage ammo! (He pulled the bullets out of some battlefield find, cleaned them up, KEPT the powder, and loaded it into new brass)... this could come in handy the next time someone wants to do JFK experiments, but with PROPER Carcano bullets!
