This is some great news.....seems they are catching up at a fair pace...!

So, business to private? Has anybody gotten a private-private transfer lately?

The one I shared here was private, almost a month ago now though:

Buddy here in the NCR just got confirmation that his transfer is finally complete.

Yes, thanks. I was indeed hoping for news of something more recent. It seems like private transfers are moving even more slowly than business transfers; if it were even conceivably possible to be any slower.

I followed another members efforts, called to the main number this morning, punched in the AB CFO extension number, sat on general hold for about 40 minutes, nice lady came on the line, I asked to be transferred to the AB CFO to which she replied "I can help"...she took the reference number, confirmed my info, said she could approve it right now, placed me on hold for about three minutes, came back on and said Transfer Completed, and sure enough the Transfer Completion was already in my email inbox! She confirmed that she was in New Brunswick, not AB.

This was a private AB to AB transfer started in the first week of October....!!!!!

So you called the main number for transfers which got you to eastern Canada and then she transferred you directly to the Alberta CFO...? Amazing. Wish I had the number to the Alberta CFO....!

In a word - yes. It was all done (including the mandatory wait time on hold) in less then half an hour. Most of which was time spent on hold

I called the Alberta CFO's number on the 12th of Dec. in the afternoon.....after being on hold for 20 minutes my call was answered by a nice lady. Told her I was enquiring about a transfer from Prophet River to me started on Aug 17....I gave her the transfer number and she put it through right away and I had the email verifying it before she even came back on line. Got my new Beretta M9A1 22LR in the mail yesterday.

From what I’ve been able to see online, there seems to be very little movement in the area of private transfers; especially in Ontario. What a stupid system we are forced to be under.
