Stainless worth it in a muzzle loader?

Pay a hundred bucks more for a stainless muzzle loader, or is the blued model fine?
I would assume the stainless might hold up to the bp loads better and clean easier?

I don’t have a muzzle loader so… I’ll yap my mouth off anyway!

I do have BP guns. Cleaning seems about the same whether stainless or not. The difference is that I don’t have to worry as much about getting the stainless ones 100% clean and dry. I mean I do anyway but there’s less fear. Stainless doesn’t have an applied finish like blueing that can be damaged by cleaning or lack of cleaning. Stainless doesn’t look period correct.

BP or not, I will always go for stainless if available, in a brushed finish, not blasted.

Two muzzleloaders here, one blue, one stainless.
Cleaned them both, never-seized both nipples, let them sit.
Guess which nipple won't come out now.

Go with stainless, you won't regret it.

    They do look prettier too.
CVA has a v2 of the wolf coming out but it doesn't seem to have any advantages beyond a stock spacer in the design now.

I prefer stainless but removable breech plug is more important if buying new.
