Looking for some details on what aftermarket stocks fit the Husqvarna 1640 with minimal rework required. From what I can tell, the Bell and Carlson Mauser 98 or Interarms MkX stock will be fairly close? I am also wondering if the Wildcat Customs mauser stock is close enough to make it work.

Richards still makes them and others like Boyd's, Houge's and Calson's in the past have made stocks to fit this action but because it is an uncommon stock they may have discontinued them too!
It is a small ring sized action and maybe one for a M1896 Mauser can be made to fit.

That's where I bought the gun from. To be honest, there is nothing wrong with the wood stock that is on it, I'm just looking for a more stable option (i.e. laminate or synthetic).

I just bought a almost as new Husqvarna 1640 in 8x57mm imported from Sweden that came in a Hogue Overmold synthetic small ring Mauser stock.
Fits really well too, looks like the previous owner notched the sides for the bolt release and sliding side safety but the rest was a straight up slip in fit.

From what Enfield shared, it looks like you have 2 options, unless the other brands still offer stocks for that rifle. I took a peek at Boyds, and it looks like they have the mauser option for Huskies. If you were already looking at modifying a mauser one to fit, then the Boyds would be an option since it is laminated.
