They're neither restricted nor handguns. I know someone who hunts with one.

Seems to be a mixup. We were taking about rossi rifles and you interjected with a TC contender which is a pistol.

He just brings it up to full extension of the sling while holding it with both hands in a very stable standing shooting position. With this sling arrangement we were easily hitting the hanging metal range target at 25m every time.

Yeah, it seems like a lot of people got confused by my reply to JustBen's post.

But that's okay I think they understand now the TC picture was in reference to a way to use a sling and carry method I mentioned as a way to do the same with a Rossi M92 Ranch Hand!

Thanks for the review. It was informative and gave me a few things to look for. I have a 16 1/2 inch barrelled carbine in .45 Colt. I've not noticed any burrs around the loading gate so maybe it's something they corrected or I just got lucky. It does eject like nobody's business though. Mine ejects about 15 feet straight up. Casings usually land behind me to my right if I'm shooting in the open. If I'm shooting under the range awning, they hit the ceiling. It's reasonably accurate with the factory irons. It will shoot 4 inch groups at 100 yards. The only issue that I have is related to the round. Standard loads are so slow there is a definite time lag between discharge and impact. I'm planning on working up a more potent load for it and my Redhawk.

That is a great review, I'm glad it was posted back up.
Why does the rest of the country get first dibbs on half my income?

I wonder if Rossi's are made the same way? seems all this work justifies lever action rifles high price.
