    A Proper Vest for Trap?

Don’t need exotic and have no need to fly a brand banner but if it says Beretta, well that works too! Want something well made, good stitching , with multi versatile ample pocket storage. I don’t mind spending within reason on quality.

Thanks in advance and appreciate the replies……

My old Bob Allen mesh vest has been solid but they went through a bunch of changes and the quality dropped off. My Storm shooting jacket is top notch but I don’t know if they make vests

This link should give you some ideas

Surveyor vest, and if you reverse it, the big pockets are on the outside?

I have a Beretta vest that was perfectly functional.

I dont bother with a vest anymore, instead opting for a belt pouch.
Do keep in mind though, Italian made vests tend to fit tighter. They're so obsessed with fashion...

Mine is a Browning. Its nice because it has a built in recoil absorbing gel pad in the shoulder.

Was just browsing shooter's choice website, and they seem to have good prices on a good selection of trap vests.

Thank Y’all for the great input! Do have a belt pouch, just exploring options as I’m a newb with all sporting clay disciplines. We have a weekend long event coming up at this place https://wsgclays.com/

I’ve practiced there and noticed folks with the vests but don’t want to get into a brand snobbery game, been looking at Wild Hare down here to be neutral but most likely may stay with the belt, unless a long sun drenched deck day involving vodka is involved. Dewey, those are pretty smoking prices!, even with exchange I’d have a hard time matching some of those prices……

Should buy a Browning vest while shooting a Beretta! Get all the hoity types in a tizzy!

That's exactly what I do, and nobody cares.

I'm still used to guys cutting shell boxes to make side shields for their glasses.

I once saw a guy bust out a Ljutic Space Gun to shoot a round of trap!

Trap shooters in general are pretty accepting, as long as you don't show up with something short barreled.

I wore my Beretta vest to shoot Brownings and Remingtons.
I like to keep people guessing.

"If the only Italian clothing you own is a Beretta shooting vest.....
    You might be a redneck"

(If you hear that one in Jeff Foxworthy's next special, he owes me a six pack)
