Bought on a whim and actually kinda glad I did! Takes a little (lot) of the concentration issues off the menu……

That is one my favourite cleaning accessory. It makes short work of running multiple patches through. Put the correct caliber jag on the push rod and it’s swish, swish, done.
I put an empty plastic bottle over the muzzle end and catch all the dirty patches as they come through.
Edit,
I was looking at the pic in the op and realized it is different from my guide, mine holds the patch in place and then you can apply your cleaning fluid of choice and when you push your cleaning rod and jag through, it stabs the patch and pushes it through. Very fast and painless.

I’ve got one slightly less elaborate, had it for years. I have certain guns with a lot of nooks and crannies in the receiver area and it’s a god send for them. Much fewer snagged patches and oil/solvent going down the mag well.

In between serious cleanings with a Dewey rod I give the boom sticks a buff and shine with G96 and a bore snake. Yes, I'm one of them.

Hose it down, blast it off with the air compressor, and snipper rifle doesn't have to get its long-range accuracy ruined by a nasty bronze brush.

Am I doing this right??
