Lots of hunters here. We kill animals for sport, legally.

Hunted meat is the most expensive I've ever eaten.

Gas, gear, and I don't even count my time.

If I want meat, I go to butcher.

I hunt for fun. It's like casino, but better smell.

Just be careful. Stopped to assist a dog run over by bus when it ran underneath. Initially it was thought I was the guilty one. Luckily someone did see the event besides myself. I took it to a vet and it was saved.

Really a judgement call . Do whatever you can do humanely , and safely , to end the animal's suffering . We all have our own moral compass . If the injured animal is in a high density area , call the local authorities, and they will handle it . If in a low density or rural area , dispatch the animal as humanely as possible if you are equipped to do so.

A year or two ago my wife saw a dead cat while walking.
I ended up having to closely examine the cat to make sure it wasn't a missing one from a local lost pet group.

Post the plate on Facebook. Public shame the individual, and if it gets legs animal control will ticket after the event. To show they’re not the focus of the outrage.

Driver wont be getting a ticket. The owner of the cat/dog or whatever animal may be in the road is the one responsible for any occurence or accident that may result. Driver is under no obligation to stop.

A few years ago a dog got smoked on the road next town over. Driver stopped. Owner of the dog got pissy/belligerent and called the cops. Cops came and told him he was responsible for the damage to the car. He ended up paying for a new bumper for the honda that hit the dog.

Then they’ll ticket the owner. If there’s enough furor, government officials will do “something” to show its not their fault, dont blame them.
