How many people here have identified themselves as one of the “Freemen” or Free Man on The Land

Rejecting drivers license etc?

Someone who truly believes this would have no problem standing up and identifying so I think it’s safe to ask

As much as I would love to see some changes to our system, the reason we aren't Somalia (yet) is because we have checks and balances in place. The whole "free man on the land" movement has come into existence because of over regulation, and the simple fact that there are more than enough idiots out there who think they can get away with ignoring them if they just want it hard enough.

I don't think most of those guys can read.

As much as I would love to see some changes to our system, the reason we aren't Somalia (yet) is because we have checks and balances in place.

unless you last name is Trudeau or are a politician of any sort, then the "checks and balances" are non existent and are easily ignored,, and you can just appoint the special counsel who is meant to investigate impartially to clear you of wrong doing in exchange for political favors.

I have sympathy for the "freemen", even though they are 100% in LaLaLand. I get their frustration with the ultra-authoritarian over regulation we're living in right now, but shutting one's eyes and pretending it doesn't exist and that we have 'super secret rights' society and lawyers all forgot about is just plain asinine.

Their whole 'belief system' is based on the principle of : "I reject your reality and substitute my own."


In this regard, they remind me a lot of the die-hard PPC supporters. Most of these "freemen" are probably PPC members and Max The Griter's main donors, lol... it definitely fits the profile of folks likely to be easily duped by charismatic snake oil salesmen.

Freemen aren't forcing anyone to get this or make anyone get a medical procedure. Yeah, those freemen, they cause so much problems they're like Amish and Hutterites. Weird and kinda scary but keep to themselves, definitely terrorists that need to be banned.
