    What about Athlon Scopes

Does anyone know anything about Athlon scopes? I'm looking at one pretty seriously, it looks good online, but it's a 1 1/2 hour drive to go see it in person.

    Any experience at all?

The group I shoot with down in Arizona loves them( there is 10-12 scopes in the group collectively) and after trying theirs I've ordered 2 for two rifles I'm putting together, a 2.5-15 Ares BTR Gen2 and a 3-18 Ares ETR. I have a Nov trip planned and will give them a workout then. They have a great set up down there with pistol range out to 100yds, short rifle 50yds to 600yd, long range 800yds,1000yd and 1200yd and final range is 1 mile.

The general opinion is that the scopes provide great value for the price.

Which model are you looking at? I can see if someone is using that particular one.

No one is shooting that particular model, closet one is a guy shooting with an ARGOS BTR 6-24. From what I've seen Athlon produces a good scope and tends to do well against other scopes in in the same class and even a higher price point.

Lots of reviews on YouTube which can also be checked out.

I think mine is one of the argos btr 6-24 as well, fancy features in an inexpensive scope, glass seems fine. Eye box is a little finicky iirc

    The 2-12× has me curious

Just got home. I'm kind of excited to get it mounted. Pretty nice scope, we'll see how it performs.

Fkin Wolverine... go in for one thing, come out with a box full, had to fondle a half dozen rifles...
So now a straight pull Merkel might be my absolute dream rifle, wow was it nice. And only $6700
