I still have a SAS beret and badge that was given to me as a gift while I was still serving.
A very good friend who has now passed was a senior member, I visited him in his home on more than a few occasions after he had retired. He had many great stories and photos to back up them from his many years serving but would never go into details just the ones that he said was common knowledge and that he was allowed to talk about. He started out in the Royal Marines first and then the SBS before later joining the SAS.
